Protect your floor

In order to avoid the expansion or contraction of your floor, you must maintain an ambient humidity level of around 40%, year round. We suggest you acquire a hygrometer.

To clean your floor, we advise you against using popular products like Hertel, Murphy oil, Swiffer, etc., and against washing it down with water. We recommend you use products specially designed for wooden floors, or simply a wet cloth.

If your floor is newly varnished, remember that varnish is very fragile for the first few days and will only harden fully after 30 days of curing. At all times, avoid moving furniture without lifting it. Also avoid any contact with water during the first few days.

These simple measures will help you keep your floor in good condition for years.
